野々村仁清《色絵牛図茶壷》

Among his oeuvre, Nonomura's colored teapots stand as paragons of artistic virtuosity, garnering international acclaim and adorning collections worldwide. Notably, twelve of these coveted masterpieces, including the Tea Leaf Jar with Oxen in Overglaze Enamels, bear witness to Nonomura's enduring influence on the ceramic arts.
This particular work, previously known only through illustrations, transports viewers to a pastoral idyll - a meadow where a family of oxen frolic amidst lush verdure, rendered in vibrant hues accented with gold and silver embellishments.
