Emerging from this tumultuous period, Yokoyama embarked on a prolific artistic career that
spanned 53 years.
Yokoyama's legacy is characterized by a bold departure from convention, exemplified in his
large-scale works distinguished by audacious brushstrokes, unconventional compositions, and a
striking use of black as the primary color palette. Among his groundbreaking series are the iconic
Fuji depictions and explorations in ink painting.
